Your ferret's claws are going to keep on growing whether you like it or not! If your ferrets play and exercise on hard ground like concrete, stone or paving slabs then the general wear and tear should keep them filed down naturally. If they only exercise on grass or indoor on carpet then you can probably expect to have to trim them every month or so on average.

Trimming ferret claws isn't the easiest task to do on your own! Ideally it takes three people . One person to hold the ferret still, one person to trim the nails and one person to tell you that you are doing it wrong!

You can use small scissors to trim your ferret's claws or ideally you can use Pedipaws which is definitely the easiest way we have found to keep them trimmed to the right length.
